Powerful 10 minute must watch video about love by Shane Bitney

Powerful 10 minute must watch video about love by Shane Bitney:

Born on December 19, 1985, in Kalispell, Montana, Shane Bitney Crone grew up with the nickname “Motor Mouth.” Now that name seems even more appropriate in light of his recent YouTube video, which went viral with almost three million hits. Shane’s film portrays the many injustices he experienced after losing his partner and the great love of his life, Tom Bridegroom. This gut-wrenching, mini documentary (in memory of Tom) has now inspired millions of people worldwide to join Shane’s pursuit of marriage equality.

From a young age, Shane has used his considerable voice on behalf of good causes, inspiring others through his talent and actions. In Montana, he also regularly performed at the Missoula Children’s Theater International Performing Arts Camp. During high school, he was active in the community and was awarded Student of the Year for his leadership.

Shane worked part time to earn money so he could pursue his dream of moving to Los Angeles after graduation. Armed with this money and with all of his worldly belongings in the trunk of his car, Shane headed to California without a job, but with an abundance of ambition and willingness to work hard.

In 2005, Shane met his partner, Tom Bridegroom. Dedicated to each other and their mutual success, Shane and Tom started a social media/public relations company, Bridegroom and Bitney, in 2008. Targeting up and coming artists in the music industry, they assisted clients in obtaining record deals, performing at national league sporting events and garnering international exposure (via Tom and Shane’s expertise with social media).

He soon landed a position on Entertainment Tonight as a production assistant and was subsequently promoted to talent coordinator.

In 2011, the devastating accident that took Tom’s life, turned Shane’s world upside down. As a form of therapy, he created his now viral video in order to honor and mourn Tom. As a result, he has found a new calling and is slowly regaining the voice he was born with. Shane has vowed to devote himself to the cause of marriage equality, giving interviews to CNN, ABC, E! News, and numerous radio programs and has been invited to write guest blogs for GLAAD, Human Rights Campaign, The Advocate, and The Huffington Post. He is receiving speaking requests from around the world and has been invited to Amsterdam Pride as one of their international guests of honor. Shane has also partnered with Designing Women creator and director and producer of the critically acclaimed Man from Hope, Linda Bloodworth Thomason, in order to make a documentary film about his and Tom’s life together and what happened in the aftermath of Tom’s death. After successfully raising over three-hundred-thousand dollars using the crowd funding website Kickstarter, the film, entitled Bridegroom, An American Love Story, is currently being made.

Madonna on the Ellen DeGeneres Show 2012; Discusses Ellen’s coming out gay.

When Madonna made it to Los Angeles on her MDNA tour in October 2012, she swung by the Ellen DeGeneres Show.  Although she had appeared via satellite on her show before, she had never actually been to the set.  In the show, Ellen talks about how she publicly came out and got nasty hate mail, but Madonna had contacted her to give her an optimistic pep talk that changed her.

Here is that full show:

Madonna is one of the few living legend entertainers left in the world.  The days of movie stars and great entertainers are over.   A movie star can no longer open a movie the way it used to be.  Michael Jackson, Madonna and Bruce Springsteen ruled the 80’s and continued to maintain an iconic status.    It’s the last of them as we move into a new age.  Now we have rehashed stars as talented as they are, they will never achieve what the others did or be as memorable in a decade.

17 year old denied church confirmation for supporting Same Sex Marriage

A Catholic priest in northwest Minnesota is refusing to administer the sacrament of confirmation to a 17-year-old after the teen posted a photo on Facebook condemning the marriage amendment, according to a newspaper report.

The decision by the priest at Assumption Church in Barnesville, Minn., to deny confirmation to Lennon Cihak last month has surprised the teen’s family, The Forum reports:

“The Facebook post in question was a photo of Lennon in front of an altered political sign. Originally reading “Vote Yes” on the Minnesota Marriage Amendment, which would have changed the state’s constitution to define marriage as between one man and one woman, Lennon scribbled out the “yes” and replaced it with “NO!”

The teen’s mother says she was “called into a private conversation with the priest soon after the photo was discovered and was told her son wouldn’t be allowed to complete confirmation.”

The newspaper also reports that the family is being denied communion. Church officials made no comment for the story.

Aimed at banning same-sex marriage in Minnesota, the proposed marriage amendment failed to win a majority vote on the Nov. 6 ballot. The state’s Catholic bishops and clergy were among the most vocal supporters of the amendment and called on the Catholic faithful to vote for the measure.

This is why so many are denouncing the church and following a spiritual path to God instead.  For on this is the only true and real path and two the churches do not preach about love which is what God is about.

Dating a guy who is on Grindr is a big no-no

“Do most guys continue to search the dating sites for “friends” when they first start seeing someone? I thought I was on a movie date a couple weeks ago until I saw my “date” close his grindr app. I didn’t think much of it until our fourth hangout when he showed me some gross guy close by on the app. I’m new to dating guys so maybe this is just how gay dating works. Is this behavior the norm early on when dating? I’m pretty sure I’ve been friend-zoned and didn’t even know it.

Grindr is a sex app. Even if guys are pretending to be on there for friends first, they’re only interested in the way you look and to see if you’re fuckable even as friends.  It always ends up turning into sex eventually.  If you’re just dating it is a little strange he’s still playing on it.  When I’m interested in someone I don’t have an urge to jump on apps like that or even look around.  I’m satisfied with what I have.  I’m sure there are some that still need that open or crutch to hop on.  And it’s likely he’s not doing anything scandalous with it, but just chatting.  I’d see how it plays out with him since you’re only in the beginning stages of dating.  It’s too soon to be setting boundaries.  It does bother you though or you wouldn’t have asked. It has to do with self control in the end.  If he’s unable to function through a week without logging in, then he’s got an addiction that may or may not be a problem later on down the line.  If I was on a date with a guy and he’s logging onto Grindr with me, then for me personally that’s not the kind of guy I’m looking to date.  It may be for other guys and that’s fine.  Decide what you’re comfortable and willing to accept now or move on.

Barack Obama Will Not Fight For Gay Marriage

Barack Obama Will Not Fight For Gay Marriage.  I don’t know why anyone would be surprised by that statement as he never said he would.  I was surprised to find so many gays vote Obama into office in 2008 and then were suddenly surprised when he did nothing for gay marriage.  Before he went into office he said he did not support it.  The only candidate that vocally and verbally said they were for gay marriage was only one.  HILARY CLINTON.

Now the gays and other people have voted Obama back in office once again and will act all surprised once more to find that he’ll spend another four years doing nothing for gay marriage.  When are you going to wake up?  Now we have a crumbling economy and no gay marriage.  No one wins.  And were you really going to get married anyway?  The majority of gays I spoke to during my research did not care about marriage.  They blatantly said they did not care about it.  It was about equal rights.  Huh?  Boy is this a dumb country.

On Friday, Obama told an MTV audience that he would not fight for gay marriage his second term, intoning that “it would be up to future generations of Americans to implement meaningful reform.”

Here’s the kicker; realizing that some states are now endorsing gay marriage, Obama suddenly became a champion of states’ rights, asserting, “For us to try to legislate federally into this area is probably the wrong way to go.”

When the states endorse Obama’s positions, he’s a states’ rights guy. When they don’t, he runs roughshod over them with the federal government.

Obama continued on Friday:

First of all, I’ve been very clear about my belief that same-sex couples have to be treated before the eyes of the law the same way as heterosexual couples. I think that’s the right thing to do. It’s based on my personal experience, seeing loving couples who are committed to each other, raising kids and are just outstanding people. And I was supportive of civil unions, but they taught me, if you’re using different words, if you’re somehow singling them out, they don’t feel true equality.

Obama says he’s been very clear? About as clear as mud. In May he raked in huge amounts of funding from the gay community and their supporters in May when he endorsed gay marriage. But before that time he had been a veritable ping-pong ball on the issue, vacillating wildly to reach whichever position was politically advantageous at the time. In 1996, as a state senator in Illinois he supported gay marriage. Yet in 2004, when he ran for the United States Senate, he was against it, saying:

“What I believe is that marriage is between a man and a woman … What I believe, in my faith, is that a man and a woman, when they get married, are performing something before God, and it’s not simply the two persons who are meeting.”

Then when he ran for president in 2008, he took the middle road, supporting civil unions:

“My feelings about this are constantly evolving. I struggle with this. At this point, what I’ve said is, is that my baseline is a strong civil union that provides them the protections and the legal rights that married couples have.”

That statement came two months after he told liberal bloggers that he was “unwilling to sign on to same-sex marriage.”

The gay community won’t leave Obama over his sudden abandonment of championing their agenda at the federal level. But the absolute fickleness of this man and the insidious way he changes his positions in order to suit his ruthless pursuit of power should be frightening to any prospective supporters.

Alanis Morissette supports gays and gave them a nod in Los Angeles on November 5th

Alanis Morissette rocked the Club Nokia in Los Angeles on Friday, November 5, 2012.  She put on a stellar rock show that was jam packed with 2 hours of older and newer hits.  During her performance of “Ironic” she changed a key lyric, “It’s meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful….HUSBAND!”  The drums kicked in and two of the guitar players kissed and the audience screamed in support with the loudest roar imaginable of the night.

President Barack Obama writes a 10 year old girl back regarding her two dads

According to the Huffington Post, Ten-year-old Sophia Bailey Klugh penned a letter to President Barack Obama in which she told the president how happy she is that he agrees with her on the topic of marriage equality. You see, young Sophia has two dads. She went on to ask the president an important question:

“I am so glad that you agree two men can love each other because I have two dads and they love each other, but at school kids think that it’s gross and weird, but it really hurts my heart and feelings…. If you were me and you had two dads that loved each other and kids at school teased you about it, what would you do?”

The president took some of his important time to share a little advice with a little girl:

Do you want a President with compassion who represents everybody or one who only represents one sliver of America who despises anyone not like them?
