Does it ‘REALLY’ get better?

Does it “really” get better?  The “It Gets Better” Project claims it does because it did for them.  However, for some it does not always get better.  Life is a struggle.  I don’t want to discourage anybody, but I do want to be realistic.   It mostly does get better than Junior High or High School.  If you were the popular kid you generally end up un-popular as an adult with nothing going for you.  If you were the un-popular kid and/or bullied as a teen, the likely hood of you becoming a great success as an adult or very popular are extremely high.  Many successful people including your favorite celebrities have mostly all been bullied or were un-liked growing up.

However, I will tell you that you have to make this life what you want to make it.  Surround yourself with positive people and situations and keep all others at bay.  I’ve had those that are less than come into my vicinity as an adult and get in my face.  Many of them were gay!  Yes, gays/homosexuals bully too and they tease and they criticize more than any straight guy I’ve known.    This isn’t to say that they all do it, because that’s a broad generalization, but I’m not a fan of many gays thinking that they’re innocent to bullying themselves.

Bullying cannot be identified by race, sexual orientation, religion or gender.  Anyone can be a bully and they can continue bullying way into adulthood, but the bullying won’t be because of your sexual orientation, it can be perhaps they’re jealous of your success and your accomplishments or your seeming independence.  All of that is threatening to the lower end of humanity.

When you’re a highly confident, driven, optimistic human being that invites leeches and insects to come in and try to suck on your blood or knock you.  You’re so much better than them which is why its easier for you to to slap them away.  It’s like swatting flies I tell you.  It’s all part of being a success, but as you get older you realize the insecurities that these people harbor and their merely projecting what’s wrong with them internally.   It’s easy to ignore them and write them off, but it’s still a pain in the fucking ass to have them show up out of nowhere and for no good reason at all.  If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all.

Every now & then I run into a small minded drone severely threatened by my confidence, independence, self love & drive.  You can suck it!

“Avoid negative discussions with yourself or others.  Turn off television & radio programs with negative themes, and stay away from violent movies.  Don’t read pessimistic headlines & steer clear of gossip based magazines.  This negativity diet will cleanse you of any hidden blocks that could slow down the manifestation of your dreams or prevent them from coming true at all.  Surround yourself with positive people and situations and avoid negativity.”
